About

Established in 1926, the Junior League of Roanoke Valley is an organization committed to promoting women, developing leaders, and investing in our community. Our legacy of leadership is built on our ability to train women leaders to tackle tough issues impacting our community. Over 350 members strong, the JLRV provides a strong foundation for civic leadership and also connects women who share a commitment to voluntarism and community service.

Known especially for our signature holiday event, Stocked Market, the JLRV is a driving force in the Roanoke Valley, offering volunteer service in the community, grants for area non-profits, and scholarships for high school students, just to name a few.

The Junior League of Roanoke Valley’s focus is addressing poverty by connecting the community to existing resources and removing barriers to healthcare and food. The JLRV welcomes all women who value our Mission.  We are committed to inclusive environments of diverse individuals, organizations and communities.

JLRV is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc., an international network of 293 Leagues comprised of more than 140,000 members in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, and the United States, which are all engaged in transforming their own communities
